Our 8th Annual Golf Outing: A Day of Generosity, Community, and Heart
We’re finally catching up on some important updates, and one we absolutely did not want to overlook is the recap of our 8th Annual Golf Outing — originally shared by Homeless to Home on October 25. With the busy fall season, Paws & Pumpkins, and the recovery period we talked about in our recent Whisker Weekly update, this wonderful event hasn’t yet received the spotlight it deserves. So even though we’re sharing this in mid-November, the gratitude is just as real — and the i

Celebrating a Lifetime of Love, A Recap: Thank You, Charlie
Last Saturday, friends, volunteers, and longtime supporters gathered at The Woods Park & Pavilion to celebrate a man whose kindness and dedication have shaped every corner of Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary. The afternoon was all about Charlie Jones — a quiet, humble hero who’s spent more than 20 years giving his time, strength, and heart to the animals he lovingly calls “my angels.” There was laughter, hugs, and stories shared under the trees as guests enjoy

Founded in 2005 by Heather Benner Ohl, The Missing Piece of

From Garage to Good Hands: A Kitten Rescue Story
Sometimes rescue work starts with a phone call — and sometimes, it begins in an unexpected place. Recently, two kindhearted gentlemen discovered a small litter of kittens in their garage. Instead of following the advice they were given to “just let nature take its course,” they reached out to us. We showed them around the rescue, introduced them to a few of our resident cats, and watched as instant friendships formed. Thanks to their compassion, these tiny waifs are now saf

Mall Mayhem and Mitten Paws: A Team Effort Saves a Life
You never know what a trip to the mall might bring—but we’re pretty sure no one expected this. On Thursday, July 24, a routine visit to the Marion Mall turned into a high-stakes rescue mission when a sharp-eared shopper heard something unusual coming from under the hood of her vehicle: the frantic cries of a kitten trapped in her car engine. Within moments, what could’ve ended in tragedy became a powerful reminder of what this community is capable of when we work together
