Meet the Photographer
Amber Lambert is the heart behind Pouncing Piper Photography, bringing over 15 years of experience and a deep passion for capturing meaningful, real-life moments. A lifelong Marion resident, Amber has built her work around connection—both with the people she photographs and the community she serves.
After stepping away from photography for a season to focus on her family, Amber felt called to return in a way that aligned with what matters most to her. As a volunteer with Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary, she saw an opportunity to use her creativity and skills to give back. That vision led to the creation of Pouncing Piper Photography and a partnership with The Woods to offer something truly special to the community—and the cats.

“Let’s grab coffee—
I’d love to tell you about Jesus!”
The name “Pouncing Piper” comes from Piper, the first cat Amber and her family welcomed after getting married. Described as sweet, a little spicy, and very much the queen of the house, Piper sparked a journey into rescue that continues to shape Amber’s work today.
Amber’s photography style reflects who she is—warm, thoughtful, and full of life. She’s drawn to color (yellow is her favorite!) and finds joy in creative outlets like quilting, antiquing, and interior design. A fun fact? She once painted every room in her home—twice—because her love for color never quite settles.
Above all, Amber values connection. Whether she’s behind the camera or meeting someone new, her goal is to make people feel comfortable, seen, and genuinely cared for.
