Sweet Partnerships, Tiny Paws

Something meaningful is unfolding this spring — and it involves kittens, candy, and the power of community engagement.

Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary is partnering with YummY Treats Candy & MORE for a series of educational and family-friendly in-store events this March and April. But beyond the candy jars and kitten cuddles, there is something even more impactful happening behind the scenes.

Engagement = Rescue Support

YummY Treats Candy & MORE has announced that their Facebook page is monetized — meaning every like, comment, and share generates revenue throughout the month of March.

Their commitment?

Whatever their Facebook page earns in March will be donated directly to Homeless to Home.

Their initial goal is $100.

If engagement generates more, they will give more.

This means community members do not have to purchase anything, write a check, or attend an event to participate. Simply engaging with their posts helps fund:

  • Kitten food

  • Medical care

  • Foster supplies

  • Rescue efforts for animals with nowhere else to go

In a recent post, Homeless to Home described Jackie and John of YummY Treats as “down to earth, real people with hearts for supporting and giving back to community and those in need.”

That spirit of collaboration is exactly what makes partnerships like this powerful.

A Match Challenge to Multiply the Impact

YummY Treats has also issued a bold invitation:

Is there a business, organization, or community member willing to match what is raised through Facebook engagement in March?

If $100 is raised — would someone match $100?If more is raised — would someone match more?

Turning everyday scrolling into meaningful support is an innovative way to amplify rescue funding without adding financial strain to supporters. It transforms social media from passive consumption into active participation.

In-Store Events: Education, Games, and Tiny Paws

In March and April, the Marion and Ontario locations of YummY Treats will host special events featuring Homeless to Home fosters and kittens. Families can expect:

  • Live demonstrations of kitten care

  • Opportunities to ask questions about fostering

  • Games and prizes for children

  • Candy, of course

These events aim to educate the community about fostering — one of the most urgent needs during kitten season — and to show firsthand what it takes to save fragile neonatal lives.

Beyond Ohio: A History of Stepping Up

Homeless to Home’s rescue efforts extend beyond local borders. When 36 cats in Puerto Rico had nowhere to go, HTH answered the call and helped secure safe futures for them.

That is the kind of heart this March engagement campaign is supporting.

What Happens Next

Official event dates, locations, and details about the “Sweet Kitten Shower” and other in-store programming will be announced soon.

For now, the call to action is simple:

  1. Follow YummY Treats Candy & MORE.

  2. Engage with their posts.

  3. Share. Comment. React.

Every interaction helps turn March into something meaningful.

Because sometimes the smallest click can help save the smallest life.
