This summer, a remarkable young woman chose Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary as the recipient of her Eagle Scout Service Project—and what she created is nothing short of inspiring.
For the past year, she poured her time, creativity, and leadership into designing and building custom outdoor shelters for our sanctuary cats.

From initial planning and communication, to securing materials, to leading members of BSA Troop 7023 through construction and final installation—she saw it through, every step of the way. Her dedication was unwavering, even when installation day brought one of the hottest temperatures we’ve seen all season.

Her shelters weren’t just practical—they were thoughtful. Every design choice centered around the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of our cats. And the cats? Well, we think they gave their official seal of approval the moment they moved in. 🐾

In a world that can sometimes feel too fast-paced and indifferent, this young leader’s heart and follow-through remind us of the power of compassion in action. Projects like this don’t just build structures—they build bridges between people, animals, and purpose. We’re honored she chose us.
