As the year winds down and the holiday lights begin to glow, Homeless to Home is preparing for something truly special: our last two adoption events of 2025. It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end already — this year has been filled with joyful matches, second chances, and countless cats finding the forever families they’ve been waiting for.
And now, we get to finish the year with not one, but two heartwarming opportunities to meet a new furry friend just in time for Christmas.

A Year Full of Happy Endings
Throughout 2025, our adoption events have helped so many wonderful cats connect with their forever homes. We’ve watched shy cats blossom, bonded pairs stay together, and kittens grow into cherished companions.
Your support — whether you adopted, shared a post, donated supplies, or simply cheered us on — helped make this year unforgettable.
Now, we have the chance to end 2025 on a high note: two final events, two opportunities to change a life, and two days of holiday joy.
Pets Aren’t Presents… Unless They’re Forever
You may have heard the phrase “pets aren’t gifts,” and for good reason: animals should never be surprises, handed to someone who isn’t prepared or hasn’t expressed a genuine desire for a lifelong companion. A cat is not a toy under the tree — they are a family member who deserves commitment, stability, and love long after the decorations come down.
But there’s another side to the story.
When the right person or family has been actively wanting to adopt — planning for it, budgeting for it, discussing it together — welcoming a new pet during the holidays can be incredibly meaningful.
Sometimes the timing lines up, and a cat joins a home at a moment when everyone is already gathered, present, and ready to bond.
Responsible pet gifting looks like:
✨ A family deciding together to adopt
✨ Someone adopting for themselves
✨ A parent surprising a child only after confirming long-term commitment
✨ A partner adopting with their significant other, not for them
✨ Ensuring supplies, space, and time are already prepared
In these thoughtful, intentional situations, bringing home a pet near the holidays can create a joyful memory that lasts a lifetime.
So if you’ve been dreaming of adopting — not on a whim, but with intention and heart — this weekend’s events are a beautiful time to come meet your match.
Let’s Finish the Year Strong
Whether you’re looking to adopt or simply want to stop by and support the rescue, we would love to see you at one (or both!) of our final events.
Let’s close out 2025 with kindness, connection, and maybe a few new furry family members finding the homes they were meant for.
