This week in The Whisker Weekly, we’re celebrating one of our favorite kinds of stories: the kind that starts in a shelter and ends in a forever home.

On National Pet Day (April 11), we were thrilled to spotlight Petunia, an 11-year-old rescue who spent four years at Homeless to Home Animal Rescue. Her story is one of patience, resilience, and finding the perfect match—because when her person arrived, he was everything she needed.
Chip Gregory, Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Rogue Theatrics, opened his heart and home to Petunia, giving her the life and love she’d been waiting for. Now, Petunia serves as Rogue’s cherished

mascot—quietly supervising rehearsals, winning over visitors, and enjoying the second act of her life in style.
Petunia’s story reminds us why we do what we do. Every animal deserves a chance to be seen, loved, and chosen. Every adoption is a celebration—not just for the pet, but for the whole community that helped them get there.

❤️ Thank you, Chip, for giving Petunia her happy ending—and for showing the world just how beautiful rescue really is.
