Awees & Paws Adoption Event Brings Love to Delaware

This past Saturday, May 10, Homeless to Home Animal Rescue brought a little extra sunshine to Delaware, Ohio with their Awees & Paws Adoption Event at Feeders Pet Supply.

From 12 PM to 3 PM, the store was filled with curious shoppers, smiling volunteers, and the soft sound of purring from a few very special guests: Jessie Ginger, Emma Lou, and Hank the Tank—just a few of the adoptable cats who made the trip in hopes of meeting their future families.

Events like this are more than just adoption opportunities—they’re a chance to share stories, build community, and remind the public of how many loving animals are still waiting for their forever homes. Every interaction matters. Sometimes it’s love at first sight; other times, it’s a spark that lingers and turns into an application later.

Whether adoptions happened on-site or connections were planted for the future, what matters most is the awareness raised and the hearts touched. Volunteers were on hand to answer questions, talk about the rescue’s mission, and help people connect with the cats not just as pets—but as future companions.
