A Christmas Day Thank You

Today is a quiet kind of magic,
the kind that lingers in soft-lit rooms,
after the paper is folded away
and the morning drifts gently into noon.
It lives in the moments you barely see,
in paws stretched out by the fire’s warm glow,
in familiar voices calling out names
that every rescued heart has come to know.
This year, you gave more than gifts or cheer,
more than ribbons, bright bows, or signs of the year,
you gave patience, kindness, steady care
—a lasting love that’s always there.
Because of you, cold nights grew warmer,
uncertain tomorrows found solid ground,
fear learned to loosen its careful grip,
and trust was something that could be found.
Christmas Day speaks of what’s been opened,
of boxes and packages, shiny and new,
but here we think of what’s been held close
—the lives made brighter because of you.
So from all of us at Homeless to Home,
with grateful hearts and spirits light,
thank you for standing beside these lives
and choosing compassion, day and night.
May your home be filled with comfort and peace,
your days with warmth that gently stays,
and your heart return the love you give
in quiet, meaningful ways.
Merry Christmas, with deepest thanks,
for every kindness shown and shared
—you make this work, this hope, this home
a brighter place because you cared.

Thank you everyone
Very beautiful!
