Soft Voices, Strong Hearts: Meet Ivy + A Happy Ending for Opal

ree

This week, we’d like to introduce you to Ivy, a sweet 8-year-old girl with the cutest meow you’ll ever hear. Ivy came to us later in life, and while she’s gentle and affectionate, she finds the busy shelter environment overwhelming. What Ivy dreams of is a calm, quiet home — the kind of space where she can curl into a lap, purr contentedly, and know she’s safe. She’d make the perfect companion for an older person or anyone who loves a good snuggle.

But Ivy’s story isn’t the only one we’re celebrating this week. 💜

Please meet the Hildreth family. Already two-time adopters with Finn and Nico, they recently opened their hearts once again. When they learned that Finn’s mother, Opal, was still at the rescue — after being returned from two different adoptions — they knew they couldn’t leave her behind. The very next day, they came to bring her home.

We’ll admit it: that one got us teary-eyed. 🥹 Opal has been through so much, but thanks to the Hildreths, she’s finally where she belongs — with family, in a home full of love.

Stories like Opal’s give us hope for cats like Ivy. With the right match, every cat can find their perfect place. Could you be Ivy’s?
